Bulk Meat

Our bison are allowed to graze on pastures year round.  We monitor the condition of our pastures to prevent over grazing, and rotate the bison regularly as needed so they are always on clean mature grass.  Each pasture has its own fresh water supply as well as bottom lands with shade trees.

Buying in Bulk

We currently offer bulk purchases of 1/4, 1/2, and full bison to customers as well as retail outlets with delivery options within reasonable distances.  The final product size will vary from one animal to the next based off the age of the animal as well as the sex.  We can provide you with an approximate weight with our scale located on the ranch.  Our sales price is based off the hot hanging weight, which is the remainder of the animal once the hide, hooves, head and organs have been removed.  Basically a 1,000 pound live animal will have a hot hanging weight of about 56% of the original weight, or 560 pounds.  Our fee is based per pound, so for example if you purchased a full animal at $10/lb your fee is $5600 plus a processing fee.  The processing fee is $1.25/lb for standard cuts, and an additional $1.25/lb for specialty cuts which includes stew, kabob, tenderized.  If you want your hamburger patties made into 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4#, the fee is $1.25/lb processing fee plus $1.99/lb extra.

Once the animal is fully processed your take home final carcus is about 60% of the HHW or 336 pounds.  336 pounds of meat requires approximately 10 cubic feet of freezer space.
